The data.europa.eu team (formerly European Data Portal) hosted the webinar "Open data best practices in Europe: Cyprus, France and Ireland" to discuss open data best practices from top performing countries of the Open Data Maturity 2019 Report. In this webinar, the primary author of the report - Laura van Knippenberg - highlighted key findings of the report with representatives from Cyprus, France and Ireland along four dimensions:

Mobile connectivity playbook for cities

The Telecom Infra Project (TIP) has developed a playbook addressing the challenges of 5G network deployment in urban environments. While most European cities already have extensive 5G coverage through existing macrocell towers, growing data demand is straining current infrastructure. The use of mmWave 5G, which could greatly expand capacity, is often impractical with traditional macrocells, making network densification essential.
