The VITALISE Summer School 2022 highlights the importance of Living Labs as an innovative framework for developing and testing user-centered technologies and services. Through a combination of theoretical insights, practical methodologies, and real-world case studies, participants explore how co-creation—engaging stakeholders and end users—can drive innovation and deliver value in diverse contexts. 

A New Era of Collaboration, Co-creation & Consultation with Citizens & Stakeholders We live in a digital world, shopping, working and even meeting our friends and partners online, Despite the wealth of digital tools at our fingertips, participation in democratic processes is falling across Europe. This may be beacuse so far Governments have just digitised what we already do offline (e.g. e-petitions, e-consultation etc.) whereas new technologies and data opens up much more exciting possibilities for collaboration, co-creation and consultation with citizens.

The main aim of the course is to provide a solid understanding of the main areas covered by the European Interoperability Framework (EIF) with the goal of achieving fully integrated digital public services by Member States and any public administration. The main intended learning outcomes is to get a good understanding of the main components of the EIF and how to apply them in a real-world scenario, thanks to a practical case. The course is meant to be accessed by different profiles working in the digitalisation and integration of public services domain, i.e.

The DSSC Glossary, written by the team of the Data Spaces Support Centre (DSSC), establishes a consistent and coherent terminology for DSSC communications and publications.
