Organised by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), this course introduces the fundamentals of Digital Twins and explains how they represent an integrated concept for product-related data. The concept of digital twins responds to the increasing digitalisation of product development, production, and the products themselves.
Delivered by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) this masterclass provides an accessible yet in-depth overview of deep learning techniques, aimed at participants with a basic understanding of artificial intelligence who wish to grasp the nature, functioning, and practical aspects of deep learning through three parts: a brief historical overview, an introduction to feed-forward neural networks, and practical advice.
This session, delivered by SAP (a core partner of CIDAI), explores how organisations can identify and leverage innovation opportunities through data-driven approaches.

LEAD is launching its MOOC, open to all those interested, with the goal of “Unlocking the potential of Digital Twins for sustainable on-demand urban logistics”.
The training - Module 1 "Understanding Living Lab Concepts and Co-creation" - was organised on 16th March 2023 online by the European Network of Living Labs as part of the ALL-Ready project. The training targeted the members of the ALL-Ready Pilot Network and provided them with an overview of Living Lab Basics, Governance Models, and the Business Models of Living Labs. The trainers shared with participants insights into the principles, methodologies, and tools that can be used to effectively enact Living Labs' open innovation in agroecology.
Living Labs represent a dynamic and user-centered approach to innovation, combining real-life and simulated environments to promote co-creation and collaboration. These ecosystems bring together multiple stakeholders, including academia, industry, the public sector, and civil society, to address complex challenges. By employing iterative processes and systematic methodologies, Living Labs enable the design, testing, and evaluation of innovative solutions tailored to user needs and specific contexts.
The EPIC platform combines the industrial strength of IBM’s ‘Smart City’ vision and cloud computing infrastructure with the knowledge and expertise of leading European LL’s and municipalities such as iMinds iLab.o, ISSY-Media and Manchester to ensure the development of a European ‘innovation ecosystem’ that provides an extensive range of opportunities for sustainable, user-driven web-based services for citizens and businesses.
