Eurocities City Dialogue on Digital twins for cities

Digital twins provide cities and communities with the opportunity to leverage the potential of several technological developments in an integrated solution. Large scale collection of data using IoT sensors and the 5G network and applying Artificial Intelligence on the data to produce insights in a representative model of cities, presents a powerful tool for cities to work towards the implementation of the green deal objectives and creating better places for citizens to live in.

Workshop - Local Digital Twins Technology

The Local Digital Twins (LDT) Technology Workshop will bring together technology providers, Research and Technology Organisations, city Chief Technology Officers and other interested players. The aim of the workshop is to raise awareness of digital technology providers and related organisations about the European Union approach regarding Local Digital Twins and discuss how to build European capacity to this end.

Citizen Control of Personal Data

On January 27th, 2021, the Smart Cities Marketplace will launch its new Initiative “Citizen Control of Personal Data” within the Citizen Focus Action Cluster. We kindly invite you to join us from 15 to 17 h and learn more the initiative’s approach to handling personal data. 

Enormous changes will take place in the next few years in the field of data, moving from the current large-corporation approach, where personal data is collected for narrow commercial benefit, to an approach aiming at the greater good of society and the economy.

European Digital Innovation Hubs conference

The EDIH GEARING UP conference is a public event organised as the first yearly European Digital Innovation Hubs conference. In coordination with the Luxembourg Ministry of Economy this first year's edition will officially kick-start the European Digital Innovation Hubs initiative all across Europe.

OASC launches CITYxCITY Festival

After a decade of successfully hosting the annual Connected Smart Cities & Communities Conference, the Open & Agile Smart Cities network (OASC) is shifting gears: The registration is now open for the very first edition of CITYxCITY Festival. Join us and take part in this celebration on 13-15 January 2021 to connect cities and empower communities.

SEMIC Conference 2020

The 1st digital edition of SEMIC, the annual semantic interoperability conference, will take place fully online on 15 October 2020. The event, organised by the ISA² Programme of the European Commission in collaboration with the German Presidency of the Council of the EU, will digitally bring together policy makers, IT practitioners and researchers interested in topics related to semantic interoperability for public administrations. The theme of SEMIC 2020 is ‘Sustainable Data Services’.

Digitale Städte – Digitale Regionen

The virtual congress is the leading event of the state of Hesse for digitization in municipalities and regions. It aims to provide representatives from politics and administration, business, science and society with tailored information and networking in the topics "Smart Cities" and "Smart Regions". In a hybrid format, participants will be offered a comprehensive spectrum of approaches, solutions and examples of successful digitization in lectures, talks, workshops and an accompanying exhibition. 

European Week of Regions and Cities

The European Week of Regions and Cities (#EURegionsWeek) is the biggest annual Brussels-based event dedicated to regional policy.

The event has grown to become a unique communication and networking platform, bringing together regions and cities from all over Europe, including their political representatives, officials as well as experts and academics. Over the last 17 years, it has done much to promote policy learning and exchange of good practices.

Nordic Edge Expo

Nordic Edge Expo is where you meet Smart Cities from the Nordics and beyond. It is a melting pot of decision-makers from the public and the private sector, investors, change making companies and the next generation of tech professionals.

More than 4700 visitors from 40 countries took part in Nordic Edge Expo 2019. The was an even divide between visitors from the private and the public sectors. More than 200 speakers took to the stage to share their expertise.

SMEs in Europe and Open Innovation for the post COVID-19 digital society

ENoLL community is actively working in the challenges that the COVID-19 crisis has brought to us. Our aim now, as it is for many others, is to react in an agile way and prepare our cities and communities now for the new societal changes that will take place in Europe and the World. The Webinar Series on “COVID-19: Current actions preparing our digital societies for a post-COVID future” is gathering our Community of Living Labs and stakeholders around actual proposed solutions.
