The Go Li.EU Project

About Go Li.EU

The Governance of the Living-in.EU community (Go Li.EU) project provides the Governance of the Living-in.EU community of digital transformation at the local, regional and national level. Go Li.EU is the initiative that supports and accelerates the European way of digital transformation within the framework of the Living-in.EU movement. Its mission is to strengthen cooperation across all levels of governance in the European Union, enabling cities and communities to fully benefit from digital and green transformation.

Go Li.EU functions as an active connector and liaison within the Living-in.EU ecosystem. It brings together cities, regions, Member States, industry, research organisations and other ecosystem players, fostering collaboration among them and with existing and emerging EU initiatives.

By creating strong links across stakeholders and domains, Go Li.EU supports collaborative actions that contribute to the mission, vision and objectives of Living-in.EU.

Go Li.EU’s Objectives

To fulfill its role, Go Li.EU pursues the following objectives:

  • Manage and support the Living-in.EU community, including its working groups, by strengthening community management and growth, facilitating their activities and promoting the wide dissemination of knowledge, best practices and results.
  • Enlarge the Living-in.EU community by increasing the number of signatories and supporters, fostering long-term engagement, and building a strong network with other EU initiatives.
  • Ensure increased uptake and scaling-up of cross-domain, interoperable digital solutions by further developing the necessary technical frameworks and capacity-building conditions.
  • Organise and align the supply side around a shared and coherent vision, fully aligned with Living-in.EU principles, promoting the adoption of enabling infrastructures and approaches such as data spaces, IoT infrastructure, and methodologies including MIMs.
  • Build the digital capacities of EU local, regional and national authorities by supporting skills development and organisational readiness that enable the sustainable adoption and operation of digital solutions.
  • Measure and assess the results of Go Li.EU and the overall impact of the Living-in.EU initiative at local, regional, national and European levels.
