The webinar "Governance for Data Spaces" tackled the significance of effective data governance in smart cities and communities. The event, part of the DSSC Insight Series, was co-organized by DS4SSCC, DATES, PrepDSpace4Mobility and GREAT, collaborative projects funded by the European Commission. The webinar aimed to bring together stakeholders involved in data governance to discuss governance approaches and share experiences in managing data spaces.

This report is dedicated to understanding the gaps between the supply and demand sides’ requirements for technical specifications and standards in the context of technology procurements. This task was supported by a variety of data collection methods such as a survey, workshops and interviews. These methods granted the opportunity to interact with public (N=46) and private sector stakeholders (N=35) who have vast experience in technology procurement for smart communities.

LORDIMAS is an interactive digital maturity assessment tool aimed at helping local and regional governments to understand where they are in their digital transition journey. It is built around seven sections - Governance, Service design, Data management, Interoperability, Technology, Service delivery and Networking.

The European Commission invites cities and communites across the EU to participate in the Online Procurement Helpdesk for Smart Communities, a support service to advance the digital maturity of EU cities and communites in their early stages of digital transformation.
