Climate Mission: DIY Manual for Stakeholder and Citizen Engagement

MIP4Adapt has developed a “do-it-yourself” (DIY) manual to help regional and local authorities identify which participatory activities and tools can be implemented in each step of the Regional Adaptation Support Tool (RAST) cycle, including good practices and local experiences. This will help build a common understanding and ownership of climate adaptation plans and actions, which is key to their successful delivery.

Citizen engagement for knowledge valorisation refers to the active involvement of citizens, citizens groups, civil society organisations, and communities in turning knowledge and research results to innovative solutions, to help exploit market opportunities and to inform policy-making. The Code of practice supports all R&I actors in building an enabling environment and will help establish participatory processes and practices for sustainable citizen engagement leading to create innovative, knowledge-based solutions that are better matching citizens’ needs.

Code of practice on industry-academia co-creation: Commission recommendation

Industry-academia co-creation means the process of joint production and the valorisation of knowledge between industry, academia and other R&I actors, such as public authorities, social partners and civil society. The code of practice is a detailed guidance to facilitate industry-academia co-creation, to strengthen valorisation of research results and to bridge the gap between research outputs and marketable innovations and the uptake to society.
