This workshop is part of the Big Data Test Infrastructure Skills Studio of DG DIGIT of the European Commission. 

Participants will learn to forecast bicycle traffic, based on a case from Paris using historical data, and compare the predictions with real-time data. This practical use case will demonstrate the entire process, from analysing historical data to generating forecasts and visualising both forecasted and real-time data.

This workshop is part of the Big Data Test Infrastructure Skills Studio of DG DIGIT of the European Commission. 

Participants will be introduced to key theoretical concepts in data classification and predictive analytics. They will learn how to use historical data to classify and predict future outcomes. These concepts will be illustrated through a practical use case involving the Tourism Climate Index (TCI), using tools currently offered by BDTI.

Context

As recently emerged in a series of interviews with Living-in.EU signatories published by Eurocities, to ensure participation of local and regional authorities in European funding programmes, more direct and innovative sources of funding are needed.
