CommuniCity, an EU-funded partnering project of Living-in.EU is participating in the Open Living Lab Days 2024!

Join us for the Tech Together workshop, an interactive and engaging session designed to equip participants with human-centred co-creation methods that put marginalised communities at the heart of the solution-making process. This hands-on workshop will immerse you in the world of your target group and teach you how to use co-creation methods to foster genuine involvement and create technological solutions that improve their societal position.

The methods featured in this workshop have been tested and refined through CommuniCity's pilot programmes, where technological solutions were developed to address social challenges. These methods are now part of a co-creation toolbox available on CommuniLab.

Workshop Agenda

1. Perspectives on Co-Creation (20 min)
Start by exploring key components of a successful co-creation process. Learn effective methods for engaging marginalised communities in design and select an ideation method to be applied in the later part of the workshop.

2. Applying Co-Creation Methods (50 min)
Participate in role-playing simulations to gain a deeper understanding of different perspectives and develop empathy for marginalised groups. Learn how to address and break power dynamics in the co-creation process. Work through a real-life case study using your chosen ideation method to generate solutions.

3. Reflection Time (20 min)
Conclude the session by reflecting on your learning experience and envisioning how these methods can be applied in your own work to benefit your target groups.
