Local Councils’ Association (LCA)
LCA is an organisation of local and regional governments in Malta. Its main objective is to offer a shared vision for an improved quality of life of residents in their localities, set quality standards for administration, service and good governance and facilitate communication with all stakeholders. It represents the 68 Local Councils and 6 Regional Councils from all over Malta and Gozo. Its 4 main focus themes: sustainable mobility, green living, open spaces and smart cities.
The Local Councils' Association of Malta supports its cities and municipalities in smart cities and digitalisation efforts through advocacy, networking and knowledge sharing. It works on enhancing local governance through digital innovation, promoting sustainable urban development and improving public services through technological advancement. The LCA fosters collaboration among local councils to tackle common challenges in digital transformation, aiming to create smarter and more resilient communities across Malta.
