The Smart Region Office is an initiative of 3 entities of the Government of Flanders: Agency for Home Affairs, Digital Flanders and Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship. The Smart Region Office has a virtual team of three program managers from these three entities within the Government of Flanders.
The Agency for Home Affairs facilitates Smart City projects for local governments in Flanders, Digital Flanders focuses on vendors and software developers and Flanders Innovation & Entrepreneurship on the private sector and knowledge institutions. The Smart Region Office facilitates smart communities within the ecosystem of innovation and digitalization in Flanders.
