The Public Sector Tech Watch (PSTW) has launched the Best Cases Award 2026, recognising innovative applications of emerging technologies across European public administrations. Building on the success of previous editions, the Award aims to further strengthen knowledge-sharing and visibility of impactful digital solutions developed and implemented across Europe. 

The Award highlights real-world applications of Artificial Intelligence (including Generative AI), Blockchain, Digital Twins, and Quantum Computing to enhance public services, improve administrative processes and operations, and support better policy-making. 

Submissions are invited under three categories: 

• Service Delivery Impact – enhancing services for citizens and businesses 
• Administrative Innovation – enhancing internal government processes 
• Policy Making – supporting policy design and evaluation  

Depending on the number and quality of applications, additional recognitions or special mentions may be awarded to highlight particularly innovative, interoperable, or impactful solutions. 

Participating public administrations will: 

• Gain visibility at European level, with their cases published in the PSTW Cases Viewer
• Share and promote their solutions fostering knowledge-sharing across Europe and supporting reuse across administrations
• Compete for recognition at the Award Ceremony in Fall 2026 (date and venue to be announced soon!), with awarded public administrations having the chance to record a professional video to showcase their solutions.
