Signatory event: Have your say on the next European Interoperability Framework

The new version of the European Interoperability Framework, the “Next Generation EIF”, is being developed by DG DIGIT and external experts and will be submitted to the Interoperable Europe Board for adoption in 2026. In parallel, the European Commission aims to consult stakeholders on their input regarding the EIF review with an open call on the Have Your Say portal. This session collected feedback from local and regional authorities to incorporate feedback from cities and regions into the new Framework. Representatives from DG DIGIT presented the draft new Framework and its impact on local and regional administrations, followed by an interactive discussion gathering cities' and regions' needs for interoperable digital public services.
