GenAI Meets Public Administrations Call for proposals: Info Day
Session 1: GenAI for the public administrations call for proposals
As part of the European Commission’s Apply AI Strategy, a new call for proposals under the Digital Europe Programme 2025-2027 will be launched in April 2025 to fund up to four Generative AI (GenAI) pilot projects for Public Administrations. To support the community in building public administrations consortia, the European Commission is organising an online "Information Day- GenAI meets PA" on 14 April 2025.
The call has a total budget of €21 million (€5-7 million per project).
The pilot projects will introduce scalable and replicable GenAI solutions into public administration, helping to enhance decision-making, optimise internal processes, improve accessibility, and simplify bureaucratic procedures for citizens.
This Info Day aims to provide an in-depth presentation of the GenAI Pilots call, outlining its objectives, requirements, and expected outcomes. It will also facilitate networking between public administrations interested in similar use-cases, integrators, and other stakeholders to support the creation of project consortia.
Participants will then have the opportunity to present their needs, share how they envision the use of GenAI solutions in public administrations, or express interest in specific macro-areas or sectors through structured pitching sessions. To further support collaboration, an online matchmaking tool - b2match - will be introduced during the Info Day, helping public administrations and other stakeholders connect based on shared interests and needs. As a follow-up, a hybrid matchmaking event will be held at the Committee of the Regions on 22 May, offering further opportunities for networking and consortia-building. Keep an eye on our events calendar for more information on this session.
