The Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SALAR - SKR)
The Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions (SALAR) is an employers' organisation and an organisation that represents and advocates local government in Sweden. All of Sweden's municipalities and regions are members of SALAR.
SALAR plays a significant role in supporting cities and municipalities in Sweden with digitalization and smart city initiatives such as: handshake for digitalisation; architecture, security; data-driven development; digital participation; digital infrastructure . SALAR facilitates knowledge sharing, advocates for local government interests and promotes the development of digital infrastructure and services to enhance public welfare and democratic processes.
