Country:Croatia
Organisation Type:Association

The Association of Cities is a national, non-partisan and impartial community of cities founded in 2002 with the aim of encouraging the cooperation of local self-government units and promoting the common interests of cities in the Republic of Croatia. However, it has been operating in other organizational forms in the territory of the Republic of Croatia since 1971.

To support cities in their digital transformation journey the Association of Cities organizes training and workshops, providing educational opportunities for city officials to stay updated on the latest trends in smart city technologies and digitalization strategies; facilitates knowledge and experience exchange by creating platforms for cities to share their experiences, successes, and challenges in implementing smart city solutions (hosting an ICT Committee dedicated to digital transformation and smart cities, consisting of representatives from around 50 cities); advocates for policy change by collaborating with the national government to advocate for policies that foster digital transformation and smart city development.
