Celebrating Digital Maturity: LORDIMAS Self-Assessment Tool Results Released
LORDIMAS self-assessment tool, an innovative digital maturity assessment platform, has unveiled its latest results, showcasing the results of participating regional and local governments since its launch in October 2023. This tool is designed to assist them in understanding their current digital maturity and identifying areas for improvement in their digital transformation journey.
Key Highlights:
LORDIMAS assessment results have revealed interesting insights[AC1] into the digital maturity of cities across Europe. Notably, the tool has engaged 277 cities and regions from 24 countries, reflecting a broad and diverse interest in digital transformation.
Digital Service Delivery Tops the List: Scoring a median of 52, cities are prioritising efficient digital services for citizens.
Balanced distribution: 32% of respondents are small cities with populations below 25,000, while another 31% are mid-sized cities and 37% are large cities (above 100,000 inhabitants).
Governance and Networking: With scores of 46 and 45 respectively, these dimensions reflect the importance of robust governance structures and effective networking in achieving digital maturity.[AC2]
Digital Technologies is Lagging Behind: With a median of 25, investments in digital technologies need to be made to support the cities’ digital transformation journey.
Emerging Digital Maturity[AC3] : The average digital maturity score stands at 48 out of 100, indicating that while there is progress, there is still ample room for growth and development.
