How can cities learn from what goes wrong in digital and sustainability transitions?

The European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL), a partner of Living-in.EU movement is organising an interactive session in Ljubljana dedicated to honest reflection and peer exchange on the risks and challenges of urban innovation.

Titled “Everything That Might Go Wrong”, the session will be facilitated by members of ENoLL’s Digital Urban Systems and Solutions for Transition (DUSST) Working Group.

Instead of focusing solely on success stories, the discussion will address the real-world barriers, governance complexities and unexpected pitfalls that can emerge when implementing digital and sustainability initiatives in cities.

Designed as a safe and engaging space for open dialogue, the session will encourage participants to share practical experiences and lessons learned from experimentation in urban contexts. By collectively exploring what can go wrong, cities and practitioners can better anticipate risks and strengthen future implementation strategies.

Participants will gain:

  • Insights into common barriers in digital and sustainability-driven urban projects
