Training session: Navigating Data Challenges for Local Migrant Integration

The Eurocities Working Group on Migration is inviting you to a training session on Navigating Data Challenges for Local Migrant Integration!

Cities need reliable data to plan services, respond to needs, and shape effective integration policies. Yet many local authorities face challenges: gaps in available information, duplication of effort, or concerns about GDPR.

Eurocities is now organising a hands-on training for city professionals to address these issues with a focus on practical solutions, ethical and legal compliance, and cross-sectoral cooperation: Join the training to hear from the approaches of the cities of Milan, Dortmund, Nuremberg, and discuss your challenges in interactive break-outs with other participants.

📅 Date: Thursday, 13 November 2025
🕒 Time: 10:00 – 15:30 (CET)
🌐 Location: Online (register here)

Among others, the session will aim to answer the following questions:

  • Why is it important for cities to collect data on migrants and refugees?
  • How can data be used to improve services while fully complying with GDPR?
  • What core data should cities prioritize and how can it be shared safely across departments and partners?
  • How can disaggregating data on migrant women and girls lead to better integration?

The training is organised in the context of Eurocities' AMIF project CONSOLIDATE with the support of MigrationWork and the European Network of Migrant Women. You can find out more details about the agenda in the training brochure!
