The Living-in.EU initiative will be represented at the 1st Global Digital Rights Forum, taking place on 13–14 May at Llotja de Mar in Barcelona.

The forum is an open space for discussing the challenges of the digital environment in a clear and accessible way, bringing together public authorities, experts, civil society, and innovation actors to reflect on digital rights and democratic digital transformation.

Mr Emilio Morillas Moreno, Councillor for Innovation, EU Projects and Digital Administration of Sant Boi de Llobregat, will represent Living-in.EU as a panellist in the session “Civic infrastructures for a citizen-centred digital transition”, taking place on Thursday, 14 May at 15:30.

The session will explore how digital transition is not only a technological challenge, but also an opportunity to redefine the relationship between citizens, institutions, and data. Discussions will focus on the role of civic infrastructures in enabling fairer, more participatory, and citizen-centred digital transformation processes, while addressing democratic data governance, citizen sovereignty, and active participation in decision-making. The panel will also reflect on how these approaches can be scaled through stronger connections between public administrations, innovation ecosystems, and civil society.
