This online session, part of Living-in.EU’s Capacity-building programme and relevant WG, will introduce the LDT CitiVerse EDIC to the Living-in.EU community. The EDIC provides city administrations and digital innovation stakeholders with a pragmatic portfolio of Product, Services and Facilities to enhance digital maturity, enabling cities to get ready for Digital Twinning and the Citiverse. and support cities in adopting and operating immersive, participatory technologies in their daily practice.

Designed for municipalities already engaged in digital transformation initiatives, the session will explore how the EDIC could best support cities in advancing the development and deployment of Local Digital Twins and immersive, participatory digital environments for urban planning, resilience and public services.

The event will be structured in two complementary parts. The first part will provide an overview of the LDT CitiVerse EDIC, including its rationale, governance model, and planned activities, alongside insights into the BUILD programme and a practical case study from Germany illustrating how cities are already engaging with related initiatives.

The second part will take the form of an interactive workshop where participants will be invited to reflect on their cities’ needs, experiences, and priorities in relation to Local Digital Twins and the CitiVerse. Through moderated discussion, the session will explore which existing tools and initiatives within the Living-in.EU ecosystem are already supporting cities, where gaps remain, and what types of services, infrastructure, or support the EDIC could develop to better facilitate cities’ and enhance the capacity needed for their digital transformation journeys.

The session will conclude with an open discussion and Q&A, allowing participants to further exchange perspectives and identify potential next steps for collaboration within the Living-in.EU community.
