INNOVADE Living Lab 4: Co-designing a Digital Democracy Application

The EU-funded project INNOVADE (INNOVAtive DEmocracy through digitalisation) is organising an interactive workshop on 2 December 2025, 09:00–17:00 (CET) at Marivaux Hotel Brussels, Bd Adolphe Max 98, titled Living Lab 4: Co-designing the INNOVADE Digital Democracy Application.

The INNOVADE project explores how digitalisation can strengthen democracy across Europe. Living Lab 4 brings together government representatives, civil society organisations, and digital experts to co-design the first version of the INNOVADE Digital Democracy App: The workshop will result in a shared, evidence-based draft app specification, together with a prioritised list of core features for testing and development.

Representatives from local and regional authorities are encouraged to participate, to ensure the app supports real-world governance needs, balancing inclusion, transparency, and administrative feasibility. Participants will be able to:

  • Explore and evaluate design and functionality options for the app;
  • Discuss inclusion, accessibility, privacy, and practical implementation;
  • Prioritise which features and design choices should move forward.
