ESPON Contact Point in Luxembourg annual conference "Which digital tools to support spatial planning?

As part of the ESPON 2021-2027 Programme, the ESPON Contact Point in Luxembourg is organising an annual conference on the topic of digitalisation in spatial planning: "Which digital tools to support spatial planning?”

The conference will be held on 21 November 2024 from 9.00 am to 1.30 pm at the Luxembourg Ministry of Housing and Spatial Planning. The theme is based on the ESPON DIGISER study analysing the transformation of the public sector and its services in Europe, and will focus in particular on digital tools for spatial planning.

Using concrete examples, the conference will examine other tools used in implementing spatial planning projects in Luxembourg and conclude with a discussion of the future prospects offered by digital tools in this field.

The ESPON programme produces territorial data and analyses to support territorial development policies. As a link between applied research and the players involved in spatial planning, the programme benefits political players at all levels of governance: local, regional, national and cross-border.
