Deep-Dive into the EDIC for Mobility and Logistics Data and the BoostEDIC Project

Context:

Cities and regions play a key role in enabling and delivering Europe’s Twin Transition. Ensuring their more active participation in European funding programmes would require more direct and innovative sources of funding. In this context, the European Digital Decade Policy Programme 2030 seeks to guide Europe’s digital transformation by setting clear targets in key digital areas, as well as by establishing a framework for multi-country projects (MCPs) and European Digital Infrastructure Consortia (EDICs).

EDICs a recently established innovative funding and legal mechanism bring together EU, national, and private sources of funding, and aim to facilitate cross-border investments in key areas. They are an important tool for developing innovative, interoperable solutions, and facilitate the sharing and reuse of valuable resources among public authorities.

Focus of the session:

In this context, the Financial Working Group and the Legal Working Group of Living-in.EU are co-organising a webinar series dedicated to EDICs and MCPs. Building on the sessions organised in 2024 and 2025, we invite Living-in.EU members to an upcoming webinar on Wednesday 24 June 2026 to learn more about the EDIC for Mobility and Logistics Data (M&L EDIC) and the BoostEDIC project, and the implications for cities and regions, including potential funding opportunities through open calls.

Following an overview of the European mobility and logistics data ecosystem from the European Commission, we will hear directly from representatives of the M&L EDIC and the BoostEDIC project about their progress, priorities, and initiatives, followed by a Q&A and interactive discussion.
