This Data Stewards Bootcamp is organized by FARI – AI for the Common Good Institute (Université libre de Bruxelles & Vrije Universiteit Brussel) and The Data Tank. It is a week-long, hands-on program on how to steward data strategically and responsibly to create smarter, fairer cities and regions. Combining expert-led sessions, interactive workshops, and field visits across Brussels, the bootcamp bridges policy, governance, and technology for better public data use. Participants will learn how to:

• Understand and manage complex data ecosystems
• Apply demand-driven approaches to data reuse
• Design and implement collaborative data governance models
• Translate data into decision intelligence and measurable impact

When: 2 – 6 February 2026, 09:00 – 16:00 (daily)

Where: At FARI Institute, Cantersteen 16, 1000 Brussels and multiple field visits across Brussels. The training is offline only to ensure immersive experience with in-person collaboration and visits.

Participation Fee: €3,000 (full rate), 20% discount for public administrations and non-profits (NGOs)
