On 14 September, the European Commission will host a webinar to officially present three new pilot projects funded under the Digital Europe Programme call on “GenAI for the public administrations”. The three projects FLOODS & DROUGHTS, EUNOMIA.AI and EuropAI officially started on 1 July 2026 following the signature of their grant agreements: They aim to help public administrations deploy European GenAI solutions that respond to concrete public-service needs and comply with EU legal requirements.

Part 1 of the webinar, the kick-off meeting (14:00-15:00) will be followed by a Part 2, the Apply AI stakeholder meeting (15:00-16:30). The event is open to public-sector representatives and other stakeholders: It will explore the main opportunities and challenges associated with the adoption of AI in public administrations and how the European Commission can further support the public sector in developing, procuring and deploying trustworthy European AI solutions.

The event will also help connect the pilot projects with the broader Apply AI community and encourage exchanges and cooperation, which can lead to a wider uptake of successful GenAI solutions across Europe.
