2nd Digital Participatory Forum
SAVE THE DATE for the 2nd meeting of the Digital Participatory Forum, scheduled for Tuesday, 14 April, from 15:00 to 17:00 in room JDE 70 at the European Committee of the Regions, 101 Rue Belliard, 1040 Brussels. The meeting will also be accessible online via Interactio (link to be provided in due time) and will be held in EN, FR, DE, IT and SV (tbc).
Participants will look at the current EU's overreliance on foreign digital ecosystems and infrastructure and the ways how public authorities at subnational level should address these strategic vulnerabilities.
Three CoR rapporteurs – Alberto Cirio, Pehr Granfalk and Zdenek Hrib – together with invited speakers from the European Commission, European Parliament (tbc) and academia, will discuss three elements of digital transformation of cities and regions and their effect on EU digital sovereignty:
- Digital infrastructure, cyber-security;
- Artificial Intelligence and data use;
- Simplification versus deregulation and their spill-over effects on third countries.
You are cordially invited to take part in the discussions – please register below as soon as possible as participation on site is limited.
