When the Open & Agile Smart City network (OASC) asked its city members in 2018 what they were looking for in a new service, they asked for something that would help them find other city solutions and to showcase theirs.

As announced in our “save the date” message, the next Signatories’ meeting on 19 January will focus on “Monitoring and Measuring”  using the LORDI framework to measure digitalisation at regional and city level.

The EU is launching a new €30 million initiative, with rural digital service platforms, innovation ecosystems, the smart village approach, and standards at the forefront.

The Open & Agile Smart Cities network (OASC) welcomes two new members: Istanbul and Izmir have joined the network – underlining their ambition as leaders of a sustainable and open digital transformation of the public sector.

As you may know, this contest showcases the most innovative projects from 2019 you created and launched within your Living Lab. It is an amazing opportunity for you to share your solutions to the world and to impact societies as well as people minds.

The Digital Twin concept is the latest technology dominating the smart city hype cycle. While the technology has already been around for decades in engineering, thanks to more powerful processing and cloud storage, it has now entered the realm of city planning.
