This networking event is an opportunity to bring together various actors working to promote interoperability based on open standards, for better data sharing, and to protect citizens’ and public administrations’ data sovereignty, to raise awareness of these issues with the global community of cities, thereby uniting the supply side and to stimulate the demand side (industry and digital service providers) to respond accordingly.

There will be 3 to 4 panels representing public administrations at different levels, local, regional, national and international from different parts of the globe, as well as academia, industry and civil society to discuss different aspects of interoperability for service delivery to the public.  They will highlight its benefits to public administrations and the private sector, and raise awareness of the tools available to assist cities and communities digital ecosystem actors to follow this approach. This should demystify what can be seen as a technical matter, by presenting real-life use cases and experiences from regionally diverse locations.
