Increasing Digitalization Awareness & Readiness of Slovak Municipalities for Digitalization

The main objective of this European Commission initiative is to support the development of comprehensive digital strategies and plans (in line with the Digital Decade) that will help municipalities achieve their green and digital objectives.

Ministry of Investment, Regional Development and Informatization of the Slovak Republic (MIRDI SR)

MIRDI, specifically through the Department of Smart Agenda Development, has accelerating experience in the field of smart communities and digitalization. They coordinate the National Smart Cities and Regions Agenda, and have developed a comprehensive Action Plan for 2023-2026, which outlines 12 key measures. These measures aim to enhance the ability of public administration to provide comprehensive support in building smart cities and regions, while also increasing the capacity of local governments to implement smart city concepts.
